Do we understand the affection of God towards ourselves?

If you do not understand who you are, the affection you carry within yourself holds a very different kind of power.

The way you identify yourself reveals the power you have to live and to stand against sin. Your identity shapes the way you live, and it carries far more influence than you realize

Start Living Out the Identity You Believe In

We become a better father or a mother when we first become a better son or daughter of God.

• Having faith about your identity
• Understanding your identity
• Living out your identity

For example, one of the biggest frustrations shared by both husbands and wives is that their spouse does not realize how deeply they are loved.

Application: Identity in Christ

1. Who I am: daughterhood and womanhood
   1. When your understanding of identity is not rooted in the right place, your achievements begin to define you, and eventually even replace who you are.
   2. A daughter is someone who grows in the knowledge of the Father’s affection and learns that she is loved.
   3. Identity is not measured by maturity. A child of God is simply a child of God whether one month old or nine months old. Just as a woman who has conceived is 100 percent pregnant, not 1 percent pregnant, Jesus is also 100 percent within you.
